Houston

Approx. 18 hours after leaving our house we arrive in Houston, to a balmy 28 C.  The 13.75 hour flight went pretty well, just not quite enough sleep, but my lack was mostly due to the movie marathon I embarked on - watching The Martian, Revenant (Leonardo was very good in his role), The Lady in the Van and How to be Single, one after the other.  Kim got a couple of movies under his belt until sleep won out - zzzzz's,,,.

Must say the Koru lounge at Auckland International is pretty cool these days.  We sat out under the open ceiling louvres and had the choice of nice comfy square outdoorsy chairs and hanging pod chairs outside or bright fuschia pink sun loungers inside!

We found we were unable to reactivate our US phones on line here today so when we pick up the rental car tomorrow will go into AT&T and get it all sorted.  It feels a bit uncomfortable not having phone contact. Then we will go see our coach and check our the nice new paint work : )  Looking forward to seeing what condition she's in, she will need a big clean before we take off, but that's to be expected after 7 months with limited love.  Will let you know how she was in the next blog.  Meantime I'm going to see if I can find a way to watch the final of The Batchelor show I missed on Monday night.
