Coburg OR

Another beautiful day in Paradise, sunny and warm!   Today I saw my first snake, yup, a real live in the woods wriggly snake.  I was just standing on the grass looking in the bushes next to the coach to see if I could see the gopher who had made the new gopher holes, when I saw what I thought was fat long gecko tail, except it kept moving and it kept getting longer, so I reckon I saw at least 15 inches of the back end of a snake as it slithered into the greenery.  It wasn’t very thick and I couldn’t see the business end - the one with the fangs, so have no idea how long the whole thing was!  I am told it was PROBABLY a common and maybe harmless garden snake!

Kim started his day off with he and Larry reattaching the main curb side slide awning cover so we don’t end up with a puddle of water on the roof of the slide – that has a tendency to cascade into my lap as we move off, unless we remember to raise the jacks first so the water can drain off before we bring in the slide.  The little job turned into a bit of a mission and L&L are waiting to take us shopping!  We're ready.  First stop Cabela’s, a huge sports shop with guns for Africa and walls decorated with every sort of stuffed wild animal found in these parts, bears (black, brown and polar), deer, sheep with horns, lynx, racoons, badgers, foxes etc.  Here we finally get our reclining deck chairs which have been on Kim's want list for some time now : )

However, the shopping highlight of the day was NorthWest RV supply which had every kind of spare part, RV  thingy, doodad and more – in fact the boys need to go back tomorrow but that’s OK, the mall is not far and Lois and I will get dropped off there first.

We get back to camp in time for happy hour and once again L&L stoke up the BBQ and we have the most delicious pork loin, I’m on roast potatoes and salad tonight.
