Angostura SD

Woke to brilliant sunshine again and a balmy 22C.  Good idea to do the chores before it gets too hot then we take a walk to explore the launch ramp and beaches.  We must have spent an hour looking at all the different types of boats being launched.  There is a little marina with petrol, shopping and lots of tie up areas.  A lot of the American boats have gaudy paint jobs but we also see lots of very expensive chameleon paint jobs too and all sorts of boats from Miami Vice Scarabs to party and house boats.

The grey paint is actually a very iridescent sparkly grey - not what I would choose!

The lake is calm, the sky is blue, the temperature is perfect, we are in our happy place.  Could only be impoved if we were actually out on the water in a Scarab ourselves!

During the afternoon the skies darken and the Camp Host knocks on our door to tell us there is an extreme thunder storm warning in place here from 4 pm to 10 pm tonight, expecting hail and size of a quarter,   Well it starts to blow, and there are a few rain splots, but nothing further so our weather luck is still intact, we escaped that one!
